SecuPi extends its capabilities to support classification of unstructured data in addition to structured data.
SecuPi is taking its data classification capabilities up a notch by providing an even wider coverage of both structured and unstructured data classification.
So far, SecuPi has been providing the ability to discover structured sensitive data across applications. For example, a VIP record within the application (originating from a database) was classified as “VIP Record” and an alert would be triggered whenever it was accessed through the application. That said, organizations handle much of their of sensitive data in its unstructured form, which may include Excels files, or PDFs. These files, however, are usually generated by exporting sensitive information from high-risk applications. This allows SecuPi to leverage its classification capabilities by classifying unstructured data right as it is exported from the application. This provides the security and compliance team with both the visibility of what sensitive data was exported (and how), as well as providing classified and tagged files.
This way, SecuPi enables organizations to classify both structured data and unstructured files in a simple and straightforward manner, allowing its customers to comply with an even wider range of GDPR requirements.
